Skills for the Hills 2026

Dedicated to the memory of Davy McLellan and Annie Bell

Getting to Skills for the Hills 2026

Where: Pathfoot Building, University of Stirling, FK9 4LA.
When: Saturday 7th March 2026. Doors open 10am. Finishing around 16:45 / 17:00.

By Car
The University of Stirling is located to the north of Stirling close to the M9/A9.
Leave the M9 at Junction 11 (Keir Roundabout). Take the exit for Bridge of Allan (A9): 4th exit if northbound, 2nd exit if southbound. After passing through the village of Bridge of Allan the University entrance is located on the left hand side at an obvious roundabout. Once in the University grounds and past the gatehouse, turn left for the Pathfoot Building.

Parking
Parking on campus is free at weekends. There is a car park in front of the Pathfoot and a further car park to the rear of the building. If parking at the rear, please use the spaces up the slope to the right (the spaces adjacent to the building are being used for mountain rescue and exhibitors). There is additional parking behind the student accommodation blocks to the east of the Pathfoot and in the main part of the campus.

There are blue badge spaces available at both the front and rear of the Pathfoot.

Public transport
The University is well served by bus services from the centre of Stirling picking up at the railway station and Murray Place (15A, 54 and UniLink).  For the Pathfoot Building alight at the first stop within the University grounds, between the roundabout and barriers (not the main bus hub for the University). Then take the path up the steps to the Pathfoot.

There are train and bus services to Stirling from many parts of Scotland including Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth.

Bridge of Allan station is a 30 minute walk from the campus. Stirling Station is 40 minutes.
Accommodation
The Stirling Court Hotel is located on the university campus.
